Draft for review. Have a lawyer check this page and fill in the [bracketed] items before PALO goes public.
1. About these terms
These Terms of Service ("Terms") are an agreement between you and [Owner legal name] ("we", "us"), the maker of PALO. By creating an account, installing or using PALO you agree to these Terms and to our Privacy Policy. If you do not agree, do not use PALO.
PALO is a Windows desktop app that looks at your screen, finds images you choose, and sends normal mouse and keyboard input (clicks, key presses, typed text) to automate tasks on your own computer.
You must be at least 13 years old to use PALO. If you are under the age of majority where you live, a parent or guardian must agree to these Terms for you.
2. Your account
- You need an account to use PALO. You can sign up with an email address and password, or with Google.
- When you sign up we ask for your email, a password, your name and your phone number. The information must be true and kept up to date.
- You must confirm your email address before you can use PALO.
- Your password must have at least 8 characters including a number. Keep it secret. You are responsible for everything done with your account.
- One person per account. Do not share, sell or transfer your account.
- An account can be used on one computer at a time. You can move it to a different computer once a month.
- If you think someone else used your account, change your password and contact us at paloxpace@gmail.com.
3. Free use and licence
PALO is free. All current features are included at no cost. We give you a personal, non-exclusive, non-transferable licence to install and use PALO on your computer under these Terms.
You may not sell, rent or redistribute PALO, change or remove its sign-in or update checks, or reverse engineer it except where the law allows. PALO, its name and logo belong to us.
We may offer paid plans with extra features in the future. If we do, we will tell you before anything costs money, and features you already have for free will not be taken away without notice.
The tasks and images you create are yours. They are stored on your computer, not by us.
4. Acceptable use
You are responsible for what your tasks do. Before you automate a program, game or website, check that its own rules allow it. Many online games and services forbid bots or automated input and may ban your account there. We are not responsible for actions other services take against you.
Do not use PALO to:
- break the law or anyone else's rights;
- cheat in competitive or online games where automation is not allowed;
- create fake accounts, spam, or fake clicks, views or votes;
- get into accounts, systems or data you are not allowed to use;
- harm, overload or interfere with other programs, services or people;
- try to get around PALO's sign-in, device limit or update checks.
PALO clicks and types on your computer. Test new tasks carefully, and keep the emergency stop in mind (move the mouse to the top-left corner of the screen, or press the stop hotkey).
5. Updates, availability and ending your account
- PALO checks for updates when it starts and installs them automatically. Updates are digitally signed and checked before they are installed. Some updates may be required to keep using PALO.
- PALO needs an internet connection to sign in. It can work offline for a short time after a successful sign-in.
- We try to keep the service running but do not promise it will always be available or free of errors. We may change or stop features.
- You can delete your account at any time in the app (Settings › Delete account). This removes your account data from our servers as described in the Privacy Policy. Your tasks and images stay on your computer until you uninstall PALO.
- We may suspend or close an account that breaks these Terms, puts other users or our service at risk, or is required to be closed by law. Where we reasonably can, we will tell you why.
- We do not delete accounts just because they are inactive.
6. Disclaimers, liability and changes
PALO is provided "as is" and "as available", without warranties of any kind, to the extent the law allows. Automation can click or type in the wrong place. You use PALO at your own risk and should keep backups of important work.
To the extent the law allows, we are not liable for indirect or consequential loss, lost data, lost profits, or bans and penalties from other services. Because PALO is free, our total liability to you is limited to [amount, e.g. USD 50]. Nothing in these Terms limits liability that cannot be limited by law.
We may update these Terms. If a change is important, we will tell you in the app or by email at least 14 days before it takes effect. If you keep using PALO after that, you accept the new Terms.
These Terms are governed by the laws of [Thailand]. Questions: use Help › Report a problem in PALO, or email paloxpace@gmail.com.
